pushState is a function of the browser history object that can be used by AJAX applications to add a URL to the browser history, so the browser can associate a certain URL to the current state of the page loaded dynamically by AJAX requests.

This object can simplify the addition of new URLs to the browser history by combining query parameter values of the initial request and a new URL being pushed to the browser history.
